Outline of Research

We mainly study the following two themes on the theory of cryptography. The first one is to investigate mathematical objects, which can be used in concrete constructions for important cryptographic primitives such as public-key encryption, digital signature, or trapdoor one-way function. Especially, we focus on those which also appear in advanced topics of mathematics but not so far in the field of cryptography. The second one is to study reductions which are typically used in the security proofs in many cryptographic schemes. In particular, in order to develop their techniques applicable to the real world, we focus on those which originally come from advanced studies in mathematics.
