Outline of Research

We will study the security model that reflects the social needs and the limit model of strongest attackers. In the real world, it has been found an attack that cannot be captured by conventional security model and it has caused serious security hole by the inadequate implementation. Furthermore, it is necessary to assume a sophisticated attack than before with the high functionality of the encryption technology.
Our research target is to model properly these attacks and establish a security model that withstands them. We will study the security under an environment in which attackers reveal the private key by physical observation. We perform analysis using more precise noise models than previous works and perform the security analysis under the actual environment. Through such studies, we will propose highly secure cryptosystems and design the secure implementation. And then, we give the feedback to the real world.
